QMCHC Facilities & Services
Museum
Queensland has a rich history of Muslim settlement and contribution dating back to centuries ago. This underscores the need for a dedicated Museum where tapestry can be curated, celebrated, showcased and appreciated for the generations to come. The primary focus will lie in researching and preserving the history of Mosques and our communities.
The QMCHC will house artifacts, manuscripts, photographs, and oral histories that chronicle the Muslim community's journey in Queensland. Interactive exhibits will engage visitors, providing insights into Islamic art, architecture, and traditions. Themed galleries and rotating exhibits will showcase Queensland's Muslim history, contributions, and cultural heritage.
The QMCHC currently exhibits it's permanent collection out of the Holland Park Mosque. To arrange a visit to, or a tour of, the Museum contact Janeth Deen on +61 435 086 796
